ThisWay Global Acquires Bankrupt RELLIS Campus Project for 73 MW AI Hub in Bryan, Texas
ThisWay Global (TWG), an AI software company based in Austin, has finalized the acquisition of a stalled data center project located at the Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) RELLIS Campus in Bryan, Texas. The project, which a private developer started in 2024, entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November 2025, leaving it unfinished.
TWG completed the transaction on September 30, 2026, and plans to transform the site into a phased Research and AI Compute Center (RACC) with a total capacity of 73 MW. The facility will occupy approximately 25 acres of TAMUS land and will be used to showcase TWG's Sovereign AI Blueprint, a framework introduced in September 2026 for managing data, AI models, and computing resources. This initiative aims to support TAMU research, as well as its industry, defense, and governmental partners. The acquisition, which involved partners like Centaurus Capital and Skylar Capital Management, made creditors whole.
