Tutor Perini Subsidiaries Secure $88.2 Million in Infrastructure Contracts
Sylmar-based civil construction firm Tutor Perini Corp. recently secured two significant contracts through its subsidiaries, collectively valued at $88.2 million. The first, a $45.2 million contract, was awarded to Guam-based Black Construction by the Guam Department of Public Works. This project involves the reconstruction of two bridges along Route 1 in Guam, aiming to enhance their long-term functionality and safety for both the local community and U.S. military operations. Work is slated to commence in the coming weeks, with substantial completion anticipated by early 2029.
The second contract, worth $43 million, was awarded to Perini Management Services, a Framingham, Massachusetts-based subsidiary, by the U.S. Coast Guard. This project entails the design and construction of improvements at the Coast Guard’s East Tongue Point facility in Astoria, Oregon. The scope includes building a new fixed pier, two floating docks, and a new cutter support facility to accommodate four fast response cutters. Additionally, the contract covers the demolition of existing structures, in-water dredging, and various utility and site upgrades. Design work began this month, with construction expected to conclude by May 2029. These new contracts will be reflected in Tutor Perini’s third-quarter backlog, contributing to the firm's ongoing infrastructure development portfolio.
