Banc of California Opens 40,000-Square-Foot Office in DTLA Tower
Banc of California recently celebrated the grand opening of its new 40,000-square-foot office in Downtown Los Angeles, located on the 34th floor of the 35-story tower at 865 S. Figueroa St. The bank's name now adorns the building's crown, symbolizing its deepened commitment to the region. CEO Jared Wolff, alongside L.A. Mayor Karen Bass and Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp. Chief Executive Stephen Cheung, participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
This move, following an 11-year lease agreement announced nearly a year ago, positions Banc of California's team—including commercial, middle market, venture banking, and global treasury management functions—in a key business hub. Wolff stated that the office places their team closer to clients driving regional growth and reinforces their dedication to strengthening downtown, supporting local businesses, and fostering economic opportunity.
The bank's investment in Los Angeles has grown since its relocation from Orange County to Brentwood after acquiring Pacific Western Bank in 2023. Mayor Bass highlighted the opening as a crucial step in restoring Downtown Los Angeles as a vibrant center for economic, cultural, and civic life. The establishment of this significant commercial presence underscores a continued belief in DTLA's revitalization and its potential for future development.
