Jim Chapman Construction Group Completes 225-Unit Build-to-Rent Community in Opelika, Alabama

Jim Chapman Construction Group (JCCG) has completed Creekside Cottages, a 225-unit build-to-rent (BTR) community in Opelika, Alabama. The development, situated at the intersection of Society Hill Road and Gateway Drive, was delivered for an undisclosed real estate investment trust (REIT). A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new project is slated for Wednesday, October 28.

The Creekside Cottages project initially broke ground in September 2025. Designed by Chapco Design Build, the community offers 225 homes in two- and three-bedroom configurations. These residences, ranging from 1,000 to 1,439 square feet, feature attached one- or two-car garages and convenient main-level primary suites. The development provides a range of amenities for residents, including a clubhouse, a swimming pool, sidewalks, streetlights, and a dedicated dog park. Onsite property management and maintenance teams will also serve the community. Monthly rental rates for these new homes begin at $1,875. Capstone Communities has been appointed as the property manager. This project underscores the ongoing expansion of the BTR sector, offering a significant new housing supply and investment opportunity in the Opelika area.
