HPI Commences Construction on 396-Unit Multifamily Project The Kent in North Austin
HPI Real Estate Services & Investments, an Austin-based firm, has initiated construction on The Kent, a new seven-story multifamily development in North Austin. This 396-unit apartment project is strategically located near The Domain, less than a quarter mile from the future UT Dell Medical Center and an integrated MD Anderson Cancer Center, with construction on those facilities also commencing soon. The proximity to these significant healthcare and research institutions underscores the development's strategic positioning within a burgeoning economic corridor.
The Kent is being developed by HPI in collaboration with multiple private investors, indicating a strong financial backing for the project. Belshaw Mulholland Architects provided the design for the complex, while Austin-based OHT Partners is serving as the general contractor, bringing local expertise to the construction phase. The project is anticipated to be completed and ready for occupancy by mid-2029. This development signifies continued investment in Austin's rapidly expanding northern corridor, addressing demand for housing in proximity to major employment and healthcare hubs. For developers and investors, this project highlights ongoing opportunities in Austin's multifamily sector, particularly in areas experiencing significant institutional growth and population influx.
