Databricks Expands Office Footprint to 120,000 SF at 5 Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan
Databricks, a data software company, has expanded its office space at 5 Bryant Park in Midtown Manhattan, bringing its total footprint to 120,000 square feet across five floors. This move, occurring less than a year after its initial arrival, accommodates the growing headcount of its New York City-based research, development, and engineering hub. The expansion includes a dedicated engineering and research floor, enhanced spaces for go-to-market teams, and an executive briefing center, reflecting the company's commitment to the city's technology and artificial intelligence industry.
The 34-story building, also known as 1065 Avenue of the Americas, is owned by Savanna. While the exact terms of the lease expansion were not disclosed, Class A office asking rents in Midtown averaged $91.08 per square foot in the third quarter of this year. Databricks, founded in San Francisco in 2013, now claims one of the largest concentrations of AI research talent in New York City. This expansion signals continued demand for prime office space in key urban markets, particularly for growing tech and AI companies.
