Law Firm Leases 45,000 SF in East Lansing’s Headquarters 2 Building
Fahey Schultz Burzych Rhodes PLC (FSBR) has signed a lease for roughly 45,000 square feet at MSU Federal Credit Union's Headquarters 2 building in East Lansing, Michigan. The space had previously supported the credit union's internal operations, so the agreement introduces a new use within the building. Martin Commercial Properties coordinated the off-market transaction. The same firm's construction team will lead the build-out of the new offices. FSBR is targeting a spring 2027 move-in date. The deal shows how former corporate operations space in a mid-sized Michigan market can be repositioned for professional office tenants through a single broker-led process that combines leasing and construction management. For owners, lenders and tenant-side advisors, the practical takeaway is that repurposed headquarters space can attract office users, but the build-out schedule and off-market terms will shape how quickly the space is delivered.
