Construction Commences on 330-Unit Springs at Abbey Crossing in San Antonio, Florida
Construction has officially begun on Springs at Abbey Crossing, a new 330-unit multi-family housing community situated at State Road 52 and McKendree Road in San Antonio, Florida. This development, spearheaded by Wisconsin-based Continental Properties, forms a key residential component of the larger Abbey Crossings mixed-use project, which is planned to include industrial, office, and retail spaces.
The garden-style development will feature units ranging from studios to three-bedrooms, some equipped with attached garages and pre-installed smart home technology. Residents will have access to a variety of communal amenities, including a clubhouse, dog park, pickleball court, grilling stations, and fire pits within the gated community.
Continental Properties acquired the build site for $7.7 million in September. LandSouth Construction is the general contractor, with Excel Engineering serving as the architect. Pre-leasing for Springs at Abbey Crossing is anticipated for spring 2027, with the first units becoming available for occupancy a few months later. This project adds significant housing inventory to Pasco County, addressing regional demand.
