Akel Homes Develops Proprietary AI-Driven Operating System for Homebuilding
Palm Beach Gardens-based Akel Homes, led by President Alex Akel, has developed a comprehensive, AI-driven operating system to manage its homebuilding operations. Akel spent approximately 1,600 to 1,800 hours over eight months building the platform, which integrates sales, estimating, design selections, purchasing, construction scheduling, field operations, and customer communication. This initiative addresses the challenges of scaling the business, particularly with the rapid success of its Catalan Palms community, which has generated over 200 sales since early February and propelled the company towards $100 million in annual revenue.
The new system, built primarily with AI support and one web specialist, functions as a "digital twin" of Akel Homes' workflows, connecting various departments and trade partners. It allows for real-time tracking of construction progress, buyer selections, and financial visibility, ensuring information alignment across the enterprise. Akel's approach echoes a tradition among homebuilding innovators who sought to standardize processes and connect interdependent workflows for greater predictability and efficiency. For developers, such integrated systems offer a blueprint for managing growth and complexity in a competitive market.
