Citi Provides $210 Million Refinancing for Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort
Citi has provided $210 million in refinancing for the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas, a 531-key luxury hotel owned by Trinity Investments. JLL Capital Markets facilitated the five-year, floating-rate, single-asset, single-borrower commercial mortgage-backed securities loan. This significant financing package follows a $62 million renovation and the property's conversion to the Grand Hyatt brand in 2024.
The 45-acre resort, located at 44600 Indian Wells Lane in Indian Wells, Riverside County, features 449 guestrooms, 39 suites, and 43 villas. It also offers extensive amenities, including over 88,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, nine swimming pools, a water park, a 30,000-square-foot spa, six dining establishments, and various sports courts. Kevin Davis, Americas CEO of JLL’s hotels and hospitality group, noted that recently renovated resorts with institutional sponsorship in markets with supply constraints are increasingly attractive to lenders. This transaction underscores the ongoing appeal of repositioned hospitality assets for debt providers.
